Different Styles of Wood Fences
Privacy Fences
This is the most popular Austin fence style. Solid wood pickets, simple construction and crisp, clean lines characterize the fence. However, subtle variations in width and top accents can create big differences. You can choose between standard 1″ x 4″ or 1″ x 6″ wide 6′ tall pickets. We can custom cut any other height.
Board on Board Fence
These fences fully enclose an area and are the best solution for total privacy. Putting fence picket on top of fence picket covers any line of seperation the fence may have from the wood shrinking over time. A Board on Board fence also gives your yard an uncommon, sturdier look since it has a depth from having one board on top of another.
Shadowbox Fencing
Created by spacing fence pickets on either side of the fence rails, these fences have the advantage of providing airflow through the fence. More or less privacy is created according to the degree of overlap between pickets. This fence style also allows more light to come through so it doesn’t create such a dark space in the yard.
Good Neighbor
Fence
By putting a fence panel on each side of the posts in an alternating pattern, both sides of the fence becomes “the good side.” An Austin, Tx favorite in newer subdivisions. You don’t see the posts on this style of fence because they are wrapped by cedar pickets, making it look more polished and complete. Landscaping can even hide the panels where you see the rails.
Cap And Trim Fences

A Cap & Trim Fence starts with a top quality Cedar Privacy fence, with the rails either on the face of the posts or framed between them. Then a 2″ x 6″ cap is put on top of the fence and a 1″ x 2″ trim added beneath the cap, creates the appearance of a nicely finished wooden wall. The cap can run on top of the posts or the posts extend above the rail and a cap can be put on top of it.
Corral Fencing

This two, three, or four-rail classic fence design looks great along the front of a large property or along the driveway giving it the look of a Hill Country ranch. A corral fence also is very practical for use as a … corral, keeping large animals controled and a welded wire and be installed to keep in smaller animals that you don’t want roaming free about the ranch.
Split Rail Fences
Reminiscent of the fences of early settlers, the crafted fence rails of pressure-treated poplar create an airy, natural Texas charm. Available in two- or three-rail fence designs, it will look like you knocked down the tree and chipped it yourself, stakeing out your homestead from the vast Texas Hill Country. All you need is ahorse to tie up to it at the end of a long, hot Texas day.
Bullwire Fence

Bullwire fencing is perfect for fencing a front yard, it does not obstruct the view, the breeze or the attractiveness of your home. You can landscape around it and let flowering vines grow on it or climbing rose bushes.
Board & Batton Fence
A Board & Batton Fence is a basically a cap & trim cedar fence with 1″ x 2″ cedar boards covering the seams. It differs from a board on board fence which uses regular fence pickets to overlap the seams, both give total privacy.
